On the eve of St Brigid’s day, there is a tradition where a scarf or a piece of fabric is left out during the night. It is said that Brigid comes during the night and blesses them, giving the scarves healing properties. These pieces of fabric are known as ‘brat Brídes’.

To honour this old tradition and to celebrate the upcoming 1500 years anniversary of Brigid’s death, I have created these bright neon scarves. Features symbols of Brigid such as the St. Brigid’s cross, the flame, the celtic knots, with the text reading “BEANNACHTAÍ” meaning blessings in irish ✨

The neon-ness of these scarves do not photograph well so prepare for an extra bright scarf 💅

These scarves measure 140 x 18cm and made from 95% acrylic and 5% elastane.
